God's mercy is everywhere.
We want you in on it.
The Lord’s lovingkindness — what the Bible often calls mercy — is all around us. In fact, it’s the one constant we can count on. Most of all, mercy is what redeems our brokenness, restores our purpose, and renews our focus. Through our three distinct services, we help people notice it, experience it, and respond to it with their entire lives. Come and see what a difference mercy can make for you.
Brokenness redeemed.
Purpose restored.
Focus renewed.
Mercy & Comfort
During our early 20's, we met in Winter Park, Florida and have been married since 1996. We have six children spanning sixteen years, and we love to see the Lord’s ever-present mercy transform lives.
In the midst of an extremely painful and unanticipated season in which we walked through Karyn's significant health issues and Kyle's resignation from pastoral leadership, we sensed the Lord calling us to share, in a formal and focused way, the manifold mercy that we ourselves have received. Our vision comes from a passage of scripture that has inspired our marriage, parenting, relationships, and ministry for nearly thirty years:
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
That’s a whole lot of comfort packed into two short verses, and we would be delighted to help you unpack its mercy and access its transformation.
- Kyle and Karyn
Ultimately, I find great joy in seeing lives transformed by God’s abundant mercy, and I counsel from a posture of genuine care and with a bent toward gracious truth-telling. My areas of expertise focus on those struggling with anxiety, grief, trauma, addictive and destructive habits, unresolved conflict, lack of intimacy, communication obstacles, codependence, and depression. I employ a host of techniques based on my clients’ unique needs, and I engage multiple modalities because there is no “one fix fits all.” Those methods include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gottman Couples Therapy, Solutions Based Therapy, and more, and I am constantly adding new tools to my belt. My unwavering commitment, however, is for the person who takes the risk of stepping into my office to feel safe, respected, loved, heard, appreciated, encouraged, and hopeful.
It would be an honor for me to join you in your journey toward greater wholeness, realized potential, and the freedom that comes from claiming more fully the Lord’s life-giving mercy.
As a 2002 graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Counseling, I turned my full-time attention to having and raising our six children. It has been the sweetest season nurturing them to know and love the Lord, and I remain committed to this work with several of them still at home.
Over those same years, I have also been able to live into my calling as a counselor in various contexts: women’s ministry, inner healing ministry, and the private-practice clients who invite me as a trusted companion into their most challenging circumstances. Leading retreats and conferences has allowed me to share my teaching gift as well, and overall it’s been an extremely fruitful and rewarding adventure to say the very least. I feel like the best is yet to come.
With a testimony of the Lord’s merciful healing in my own life, I sit with individuals (teens and adults), couples, and families who need a trained listener, a gifted advocate, an empathetic confidant, and a compassionate guide. I approach these sessions relationally because I firmly believe that, since we are hurt within relationships, we are healed through them as well. I also approach them holistically, because I am convinced that we experience complete health only when our emotional, physical, and spiritual selves are aligned with God’s beautiful intentions for us. As a recovered addict and a devoted Christian, I bring sensitivity, acceptance, and patience to my work with people of all faiths.

Meet The Team
While I have a lifetime of experience walking alongside men, women, couples, and teens, I consider myself first and foremost a mercy maven. In fact, I have needed, received, and given more of it than most throughout my entire life, and it has indisputably made me the man I am today.
I heard the gospel for the first time and was discipled initially within the context of Young Life, and as a result I have spent the past thirty years consciously benefitting from the Lord’s unmerited favor toward me. Since graduating college, I have worked as a youth minister, football chaplain, family pastor, director of men’s ministry, leader of an orphan care mission, senior pastor, director of a homeschool community, Bible teacher, baseball coach, and high school athletic director. Many of those roles have overlapped, and all of them took shape within either a local church or a Christian school in Maryland, Florida, Arizona, and North Carolina.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from McDaniel College just outside of Baltimore, and I have a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Phoenix. I am a ferocious reader, a lifelong learner, an insightful questioner, and a skilled listener, and my spiritual gifts include leadership, wisdom, compassion, pastoring, and teaching. Love binds them all together.
Coach and Consultant
Kyle Wallace
Most recently, I have developed two scripture-saturated resources for leading individuals, couples, and groups into the future God has for them. The first is an e-book called All the Weights In the Bag: How Mercy Tips the Scales In Our Favor. The second is a comprehensive self-examination and dream-identifying process called The Mercy Model. Together they serve as the starting point and framework for both my coaching and consulting.
Hands down, the greatest joy and privilege of my life is being a husband and father, even as my extensive vocational career has allowed me to have a front-row seat to the Lord’s transformative work in other people’s lives. In the midst of it all, his mercy has been the one reliable constant, and I would be honored to share with you what he — through countless counselors, coaches, consultants, mentors, and spiritual fathers, not to mention a few colossal failures and excruciating trials — has shared with me.
